Into The Darkness and After Dark Paranormal Research have teamed up to bring you a new and exciting Paranormal TV Show. Hauntings, UFOs, and Cryptozoology will be on the menu.
Christine, who is our Psychic, will give us a look into the other side, while we try to debunk or capture any paranormal activity. You will be witness to our findings, and we will let you decide based on any evidence we may collect. We welcome your feedback or comments on any of the investigations.
You will witness reenactments of actual events that have taken place in an area, along with witness accounts when available. You will also witness the actual investigation and the findings.

There is a small chapel in Bandera County just outside of San Antonio called Polly’s Chapel. Jose Policarpo Rodriguez built the chapel in 1882 on the banks of Privilege Creek. Rodriguez, who was known as “Polly” was born in Mexico and came to Texas as a child. He went on to become famous as a scout for the U.S. Army, a guide, a hunter and finally a minister which is what led him to build the church. Polly is buried in an old [tag-tec]graveyard[/tag-tec] just a short distance from the chapel.
A couple of members of our team had done a preliminary investigation of Polly’s Chapel upon hearing of some possible [tag-tec]paranormal activity[/tag-tec]. We decided that a full investigation would be worthwhile based on some stories about possible [tag-tec]hauntings[/tag-tec] taking place there.
The investigation at Polly’s Chapel took place on a cold damp night. Eddie, Josh, Cari and Jay along with all of our electronic equipment piled into our 4X4 for a 45 minute drive to Bandera outside San Antonio.
We arrived at the Chapel around 10:45pm, exited the truck and immediately felt the chill of the country air. It was noticeably colder away from the city and the damp cold air, pierced right though our jackets.
Ignoring the cold, the team quickly gathered all their equipment and entered the chapel to set up our investigation.
Our preliminary investigation at Polly’s Chapel revealed a great deal of activity taking place. In fact, the amount of paranormal activity we encountered made it almost impossible to film. We were really hoping that we had the same amount of activity while we had all our equipment with us.
A quick check of the chapel did not reveal anything out of the ordinary. Video cameras and digital recorders were set in place to capture any paranormal activity which may occur while team members worked on EVP sessions.
The lights were then turned off and the IR lights were activated on the video recorders. Josh, who is the ADPR Video Tech, proceeded to film the [tag-tec]EVP[/tag-tec] session which was being held by Cari, Eddie, and Jay.
While filming the EVP session, a strange red glow was seen on the far side of the chapel window. It appeared to be pretty faint and slowly moved across the window, then on to the wall. At first, seeing this made investigators think it was just the IR from the video camera Josh was using, but after seeing it several different times, we noticed that Josh did not have the camera facing the window and the IR was not reflecting from the IR source on the video camera.
Josh was asked to repeat his actions several different times and the team was unable to get any results. Josh even faced the camera towards the window in order to see if the glow was the same. It was obvious at that point that the red glow was not that of the IR light. We were unable to debunk the small red glow, so we continued with the EVP session and did not see the red glow again.
Next, the team packed up the equipment and proceeded to the Cemetery where Polly himself is buried. Being outside really made for a cold investigation. It was pretty quiet, except for some dogs barking in the distance. The area felt really calm and Jay even stated that he was more comfortable in the Cemetery than in the Chapel.
We worked on EVPs at the location and filmed the area with IR Video Cameras. After staying in the cold until we could no longer feel our fingers or hands, we decided to call it a night and head back home.
Over the following week, team members analyzed all the recordings, but did not find anything unusual. Not a single EVP was found. We were all disappointed with the results of the EVPs that were taken. Next we turned to Josh, who had analyzed the video. Nothing…..the video did not reveal anything out of the ordinary. Cari, who was checking her recordings and her photos, also did not come up with anything. It was finally down to Jay. I received an email from him and BINGO….we had something on film.
Jay sent me a photo he took which contained what appears to be a shadowy figure. The photo clearly shows a dark shadow next to the podium that we could not explain. Although we can not say for sure where we were all standing at the time the photo was taken, none of us were in the photo itself and could not have been casting a shadow in that area.
Although we concluded that there was no hard evidence of a haunting occurring here, our first video may still indicate otherwise. Please take a lo0k and let us know what you think.
Many people ask us how they can tell if their house is haunted.
Here are some things you may be encountering that may suggest you are experiencing a true haunting: unexplained noises (footsteps, knocks, banging, rapping, scratching noises, sounds like something being dropped), doors and cabinets opening and closing.
You may note lights turning off and on, items disappearing and reappearing later possibly in the same spot you remembered, unexplained sighted shadows (sighting of fleeting dark and black shadows and shapes seen out of the corner of the eye moving at fast speeds), strange animal behavior like something else is there, a feeling of being watched by some unseen presence.
More extensive and confirmed [tag-tec]haunting[/tag-tec] experiences you might have would include: feelings of being touched by an invisible entity or force, actually seeing a door open or close by itself, actually seeing a light turn off or on several times by itself, hearing cries or whispers of a person, hearing voices or hearing your name being called. Other [tag-tec]paranormal[/tag-tec] experiences include feeling very cold or hot spots, extreme unexplained smells (distinct fragrance of perfume or cologne, cigar or cigarette odors, and very foul rotting or repulsive odors).
Sometimes people notice moving or levitating objects. In some cases an actual physical assault may occur, other physical evidence like writing on walls, handprints, and footprints.
Some people have visual confirmations of actual [tag-tec]apparitions[/tag-tec] (an actual sighted physical manifestation of a ghost/spirit/person or entity in full or partial form) that occur which disappear after being sighted.
There are of course some rational explanations for some of these occurrences. But if you have tried to rule out everything yourself and you still feel you have a true haunting taking place and you would like some questions answered to confirm this, then please contact us or another reputable organization of professional and reputable investigators.

Previously we told you about our investigation of a residence in Kerrville, TX in which the two occupants of the home were concerned with some of what they have been experiencing. They told us that they were becoming fearful because of some unexplained [tag-tec]paranormal activity[/tag-tec] that they were witnessing. The occupants described a small bird-like shadow that they would see at night and they were also experiencing [tag-tec]poltergeist[/tag-tec] type activity. They also told us of a general feeling of dread that would cause them to feel uncomfortable.
In this video segment you can see some of what goes on behind-the-scenes as Christine sits down with the two residents to discuss their situation.

Kerrville, Texas is a beautiful, small community located just north of San Antonio. The area is mostly wooded around the town and wildlife, such as white tail deer, hogs, coyotes, and such, roam the area much like they have for hundreds of years. Who would have ever thought that along with the wildlife, [tag-tec]ghosts[/tag-tec] would be roaming the area? Yes….the After Dark team was called to just this place for possible [tag-tec]hauntings[/tag-tec]. No, this is not a historical landmark, nor is it an old Indian Burial site. This is a residence where people live, and at present, live in fear of the unknown.
After Dark Paranormal Research received an e-mail from the two occupants of the home. They told After Dark that they had been experiencing [tag-tec]paranormal activity[/tag-tec] and that they were very afraid to stay there. The activity was described as a small dark shadow, bird like, that would be seen fluttering through their home at night while all the lights were out. Also, they had experienced [tag-tec]poltergeist[/tag-tec] types of activity, such as the water in the sink turning on all by itself, the stove turning on when no one was around, and just a feeling of dread that would cause them to feel uncomfortable.
After speaking with them over the phone, the interview seemed quite interesting. The activity they had described was enough to warrant an investigation. ADPR team members, Christine, Liz, Josh, and Eddie ventured to Kerrville for the investigation.
After meeting with the residents of the home, Christine did a walk through in order to see what she could sense and what she felt was the cause of the activity the residents had been experiencing. After a short time, Christine was able to sit with the residents and speak with them about what she felt was going on. It turned out that Christine was right on track with all that had been experienced by the homeowners, and she was able to give a reading which answered many of their questions. The case came to a close with some very happy residents, who felt that Christine had really helped them understand what they were experiencing.
Although audio and video was set up in the home, nothing captured appeared to be out of the ordinary. Fortunately, the reading that Christine was able to do for them was reassuring to the residents of the home, although there was no reason to believe that the activity would not continue.

The investigation of the Ghost of Mary Howell continues at the Grey Moss Inn outside of San Antionio, TX.
While at the Grey Moss Inn, team members were finally able to set up all their equipment where hauntings were reported. Video was being recorded in areas where apparitions were witnessed and team members conducted [tag-tec]EVP[/tag-tec] sessions in areas where other [tag-tec]paranormal[/tag-tec] events were observed by staff and guests.
Although [tag-tec]hauntings[/tag-tec] were reported in many areas of the Inn, we were only able to set up equipment in certain areas due to the layout of the Inn.
The ADPR team had experienced several forms of ghostly activity while conducting an interview with Nell Baeten a week prior to the actual investigation. The first form of [tag-tec]poltergeist[/tag-tec] type activity was while we were all sitting in a dining room speaking with Nell. The activity was that of a rattling door leading to the back offices. The door was about twenty feet from where we were sitting and we could hear the rattling very clearly.
We really could not believe our ears, so we went to investigate the ghostly activity. Upon reaching the door, team members could see the door and the door knob visibly moving. After watching this activity for a moment, we opened the door and entered into a hallway. The air was noticeably colder in the hallway. This type of phenomena has been reported around the world when a haunting is active and a spirit is attempting to manifest itself. The After Dark Paranormal Team has experienced this many times while conducting investigations of haunted locations. It seems when activity is present, the temperature around the area seems to drop, sometimes more than twenty degrees. We checked the door and door knob while we were standing there, but could not find any reason for rattling. Little did we know that this was just the beginning of the paranormal activity we would experience while we were there that night.
While we were standing in the hallway, we heard several loud banging nosies in one room which had a closed door. We attempted to open the door, but found the door to be locked. Nell stated that it was a wine room and proceeded to the door with key in hand. When she unlocked the door, several bottles of wine rolled out into the hallway undamaged. We found a total of four bottles of wine on the floor, still rolling around undamaged. There were four wine bottle holders on a shelf five feet from the floor which were empty. We could not figure out how the bottles fell without any assistance and did not break.
Nell then walked us over to the old house where Mary Howell used to live. While approaching the old house, we noticed window air conditioner turn on. This was not unusual to me, however, Nell stopped and pointed out that the A/C unit was very old and did not have an automatic setting on it. When we entered the old house, the A/C unit turned itself off. I went to check the settings on the old A/C unit and found it to be on the off position. I attempted to make it duplicate what we had witnessed, however, I could not make it turn on unless I turned the knob by hand. This is just one more type of ghostly activity that had been reported to us.
We ended our night by saying good-by to Nell. We could not believe the amount of activity we witnessed while we were there. There was no doubt that the Grey Moss Inn had ghostly activity. All we had to do was capture it on our equipment. Well, since there is no way to tell how the investigation would go, all we could do was wait for the day of the investigation and hope for the best.

The Grey Moss Inn, located just outside of Helotes, Texas which is northwest of San Antonio is known for it’s extensive wine list, as well as its thick and succulent steaks. But who would have ever thought of it as being known for it’s [tag-tec]ghosts[/tag-tec]?
The After Dark Paranormal Research team decided to contact Nell Baeten, owner of [tag-tec]The Grey Moss Inn[/tag-tec] to see if she could tell us the history of the inn and of the ghost that haunts this beautiful inn and its guests.
Nell told us that the ghost responsible for the majority of the [tag-tec]hauntings[/tag-tec] is that of Mary Howell who founded the inn in 1929. Mary is known to play games with the inn’s staff and especially its guests. There have also been reports of a more menacing ghost who has been known to set fires in the restaurant.
Christine, ADPR’s [tag-tec]psychic[/tag-tec], confirmed much of the information we received. Christine is never told anything about the locations we investigate when we are conducting [tag-tec]paranormal research[/tag-tec]. We do this to keep her from being influenced by what other’s have said. Christine’s trustworthiness, confidence and excellent track record on cases is a key part of our [tag-tec]paranormal[/tag-tec] investigations.
The Grey Moss Inn turned out to be a fantastic investigation. Nell and her staff were wonderful and very helpful. We were able to gather many [tag-tec]EVPs[/tag-tec], some interesting photographs, and a lot of personal experiences while we were there.
